Eye health is vital to overall wellness, and the Vision Center at your Associate Family Health Center provides comprehensive vision care. Staffed with optometrists, opticians and assistants, we can meet a full spectrum of eye care needs. We offer the following services:

  • Evaluate and treat red eyes

  • Perform contact lens fittings

We offer discounts through VSP eye care insurance.

Dr. Trisha Roberts - Optometry Director

Dr. Roberts is a therapeutically certified optometrist. She received her doctor of optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and completed her residency in primary care at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She specializes in comprehensive and problem-focused eye examinations and contact lens fittings. She enjoys seeing children and performs a comprehensive assessment of the visual system to set them up for academic success. Dr. Roberts is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. 


Dr. Jeffrey Swearingen - Optometrist

Dr. Swearingen is a native of Portsmouth, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University, from where he received his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1984. He has practiced in multiple settings, including his own Private Practice in Columbus, Ohio, for 28 years. In 2014, he and his wife, Ann, relocated to Greenville, where he worked in an Ophthalmology office until April 2022. His areas of interest are in contact lenses, in particular Specialty Contact Lenses-for astigmatism, and bifocals-as well as Scleral Lenses (lenses used for treatment of corneal disease, injuries, and abnormalities); and the diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome.
