Frequently Asked Health Center Questions

+ Who is eligible to use the center?

To be eligible to receive services, the Associate or covered family member must have the Hallesch/Henner insurance card. Please be sure to bring your card and present to reception when registering or checking in.


+ Who do I contact regarding questions on my insurance or how to file a claim?

+ What services does the health center provide?

The AFHC is your first stop for a diagnosis, routine primary care, prescription refills, annual physical, immunization, or lab work. Please visit the Services page for more detailed information.


+ What services are covered in the Primary Care department?

Services including provider visits, x-rays, vaccinations, and laboratory testing are available. Lifestyle and Condition Management (weight management, tobacco cessation, blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes) are also offered and free for International Associates and covered family members. Please be sure to bring your insurance card to qualify for covered services.


+ Are translation services available?

Yes, the center can perform blood draws ordered by an outside provider. The AFHC has partnered with an international vendor to assist all patients with potential language barriers with a service to translate medically related information between the patient and provider. For more information please ask an AFHC employee on how translation services may benefit you.


+ Is the center an approved provider for workers’ compensation claims? If I get hurt on the job, can/should I go to the center?

The center will offer basic first aid as well as emergency care in certain situations. The center is not an approved provider for workers’ compensation claims. If you are experiencing a medical emergency please call 9-1-1.


+ Can I make an appointment during working hours?

Yes, the center is open from Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM excluding holidays. Please work with your supervisor to ensure proper notice/coverage for your position.


+ Who manages the center?

Premise Health operates the center.


+ Is my health data secure and private? Will my employer have access to my medical records?

Your personal health information is confidential and your data is kept secure. The Associate Family Health Center (AFHC) operates in accordance with HIPAA and works diligently to protect all health records. Premise Health can’t share any personal health information without your permission. Rest assured, your personal health information is not shared with your employer. Additionally, Premise Health operates through a private network and software systems that cannot be accessed by BMW Associates. Notice of privacy practices are available for review within the AFHC.


+ Am I required to use the center?

No, the center is offered as on onsite convenience for our BMW Associates and dependents.


+ Will I have to change my doctor because of the center?

No, the center is offered as a benefit to BMW Associates, their spouses and dependents age two and older as a convenience. You are not required to discontinue services with any of your current/future outside providers.
